Change is an integral part of growth, and with that spirit, I am excited to share that my practice has a new name: Loblolly Wellness Collective, PLLC.

STORY OF THE RINGS

This name was chosen with deep intention, drawing inspiration from the natural world and the symbolism of trees, particularly the Loblolly pine. Trees have long been symbols of resilience, growth, and interconnectedness. If you’ve ever looked at the rings inside a tree trunk, you’ll notice how each ring tells a story. Researchers at NC State have noted that during a drought, a tree will produce a particularly narrow ring, while in favorable conditions, the rings are wider. climate. These rings represent different periods in the tree’s life, with varying thickness and patterns that reflect environmental conditions such as droughts, wildfires, and periods of abundant growth.

Much like trees, we too have seasons in life. We experience challenges that leave marks and times when we flourish, growing stronger with each passing year. At Loblolly Wellness Collective, we honor these stories and the journey each individual takes toward healing and growth.

WOOD WIDE WEB

eco therapy, nature therapy, mental health

The choice of the Loblolly pine also stems from its remarkable ability to connect and communicate through its root system. Research shows that trees engage in an underground network often referred to as the “Wood Wide Web,” where fungi connect root systems, allowing trees to share nutrients, support weaker neighbors, and even warn each other of environmental threats. This sense of community and interconnectedness is at the core of our practice. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it thrives in community. At Loblolly Wellness Collective, we strive to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and connected—not just with their therapist but within a broader community that encourages collaboration, resilience, and holistic healing.

IN CLOSING

Our vision is to be more than just a place for therapy. We aim to cultivate an environment where individuals can share their stories, much like trees communicate beneath the surface. We believe in the strength that comes from connection and the growth that emerges when we feel supported. Whether you are in a season of challenge or flourishing, our collective is here to walk alongside you.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Just as the Loblolly pine stands tall and resilient, rooted in community, so too does our commitment to supporting you in your healing journey.

With gratitude,

Caitlyn Pabon, MS, LCMHC
