About

Caitlyn Pabon, MS, LCMHC

If you’ve tried traditional talk therapy and felt like something was missing, you’re not alone. Healing isn’t just about talking—it’s about experiencing change on a deeper level. You’re here because you’re ready to do the work, and I’m here to help guide you through it.

I take a different approach to therapy—one that goes beyond just processing thoughts and feelings. My work is rooted in attachment-based, trauma-informed, and somatic practices, focusing on the mind-body connection and how past experiences shape the present. Healing can happen in many ways, and together, we’ll find what works best for you.

Whether it’s through EMDR to reprocess trauma, Animal-Assisted Therapy to connect with healing in a unique way, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (Natural Lifemanship) to build trust and regulation, Nature-Based Therapy to ground yourself in the outdoors, or Expressive Arts to explore emotions through creativity, I offer experiential approaches that engage you beyond just talking.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina, and I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical and School Counseling from East Carolina University—Go Pirates! My professional training includes:

  • Certification in Military and Trauma Counseling, providing specialized care for those navigating trauma and high-stress environments.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training, an effective approach for trauma, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.
  • Certification in Animal-Assisted Therapy, integrating the healing power of animals into the therapeutic process.
  • Training in Natural Lifemanship, a relationship-based model for Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy that fosters deep emotional regulation and connection.
  • Expressive Arts Integration, using creative mediums like painting, drawing, and movement to help process emotions in a non-verbal, intuitive way.

I specialize in working with people who are ready to face their past, break old patterns, and build a life that feels more aligned and authentic. If you're looking for therapy that challenges, supports, and truly helps you heal, let’s begin this journey together.
